(Kansas City, Kansas) United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) drivers will make their way to Lakeside Speedway on Friday evening for the Seventh-Annual Spring Sizzler. For USMTS drivers, the event pays a whopping $10,000 to win and $700 to start!

Terry Phillips and Rodney Sanders are both touring regulars with several wins at the speedway. Jake O’Neil and Lucas Schott have also recorded victories at the track along with weekly racer Nic Bidinger.

According to the latest USMTS Standings, Phillips leads the way over a Dereck Ramirez and Sanders. Tanner Mullens and O’Neil round out the top five. Phillips has two victories on the year while multiple-time champion Sanders has scored once but leads the way in top-ten finishes, going six-for-six in that category.

A pair of regional drivers will look to add a USMTS victory to their growing driver profiles on Friday. Darron Fuqua has an eye on his first-ever USMTS victory this season and has two top-ten finishes so far with USTMS. Fuqua is a past track champion and multiple-time winner at Lakeside Speedway in A-Mod competition and has already scored a victory at the track this season. Austin Siebert is also gunning for a victory; Siebert scored his first speedway victory of the year in last Friday’s NASCAR weekly race program.

Joining the United States Modified Touring Series drivers are the USRA Stock Cars, USRA B-Mods, and E-Mods Visit, or for additional details. Stock Cars and B-Mods will earn USRA Weekly Racing Series national points. This is a track points-earning event for the E-Mod division.
